Description:
To operate computer controls for efficient and safe hay processing operations, to safely and efficiently operate load equipment in order to unload and dispatch product on time, to safely operate plant ensuring operation objectives are meet, and to assist in safely maintaining mechanical, hydraulic and electrical equipment. Key responsibilities include monitoring plant operations through computer controls, managing material flow, loading raw materials, unloading finished products, detecting and rectifying plant faults, participating in safety initiatives, and providing guidance to operators in training.
Skills and Experiences:
- Sound mechanical, hydraulic and electrical knowledge (fault finding)
- Sound knowledge/experience with automation systems and flow paths
- Forklift License
- Demonstrated capacity to work as part of a high performing team
- Demonstrated commitment to safety values and behaviours
- Demonstrated experience in a mechanical, hydraulic and or electrical discipline
- Previous experience as a plant operator
