Murrindindi Shire Council is looking for a visitor services superstar to join our team. You’ll be helping promote our Shire to visitors and supporting the sustainable growth of the visitor economy in our region.

We are located within proximity to Melbourne, a lovely 60 to 90 minute drive from Melbourne, depending on your route. The Yea Wetlands Discovery Centre is open 10.00 am – 4.00 pm, 7 days per week, so you will need to be available to work some weekends and some public holidays. We are happy to work with you based on your availability and the needs of the business.
About this opportunity
The successful candidate will support shire-wide activities that enable a thriving and sustainable visitor economy for Murrindindi Shire. Based at the Yea Wetlands Discovery Centre, this role facilitates day to day operational support and customer service in relation to Council’s visitor services.
What will you bring
Ideally, you’ll have:
- previous experience in a visitor services, customer service or retail role
- excellent interpersonal skills for working with a broad range of stakeholders
- the ability to juggle a variety of projects and tasks at once.
- Volunteer management experience
- strong administrative and computer skills.
