About the Opportunity:
As our Workforce Data & Analytics Lead, you will lead a team ensuring Australian Unity has trusted workforce data, insights and scalable reporting solutions that support operational and strategic decision making.
The role is accountable for the delivery and continuous improvement of workforce analytics, reporting, dashboard solutions, automation and data management services, ensuring workforce data and reporting capability can support future business growth and complexity.
Working closely with stakeholders across People & Culture, Technology, Finance and the broader business, the position strengthens data governance, quality and self-service analytics capability while providing workforce data and analytics support for key initiatives including acquisitions, data migrations, remediation activities and organisational change programs.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead Workforce Data & Analytics Team and deliver high quality insights
- Lead and develop a high-performing team responsible for workforce reporting, analytics and data solutions.
- Set team priorities and manage workloads across business-as-usual activities and projects.
- Coach and support team members to build technical and analytical capability.
- Deliver workforce analysis and insights that support informed decision making.
- Identify workforce trends, risks and opportunities through data analysis.
- Translate complex data into clear and practical insights. Provide workforce reporting and insights to support workforce planning and decision making.
- Partner with stakeholders to define workforce measures, targets and performance indicators
Reporting & Dashboard Solutions
- Lead the delivery of accurate, timely and scalable workforce reporting.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of automated reporting and dashboard solutions.
- Lead improvements to self-service reporting and analytics capability
- Ensure reporting definitions, calculations and standards are applied consistently across workforce reporting.
- Maintain and prioritise the workforce reporting and analytics roadmap to support business priorities and continuous improvement.
Data Governance & Quality
- Lead initiatives that improve workforce data quality, integrity and consistency.
- Support the development and application of workforce data standards, business rules and reporting definitions.
- Ensure workforce data is reliable, secure and fit for purpose.
- Support internal and external audit activities by providing workforce data, reporting and documentation as required
Continuous Improvement, Project & Transformation Support
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives across workforce reporting, analytics and data services.
- Identify and implement opportunities to simplify processes, reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.
- Promote the use of automation, AI-enabled solutions and self-service capabilities to reduce manual effort and improve reporting efficiency.
- Provide workforce data and analytics leadership and subject matter expertise for acquisitions, integrations, remediation activities and organisational change programs.
- Support workforce data mapping, validation, reconciliation and reporting activities throughout project delivery.
Data & Technology
- Partner with Technology and data teams to deliver workforce data and analytics solutions.
- Oversee workforce data models, integrations and data flows that support reporting and analytics.
- Identify opportunities to improve workforce data processes, technology and automation and support the ongoing development of workforce data platforms, tools and capabilities.
About You:
- Strong background in workforce analytics, people reporting, workforce planning analytics or related data and analytics functions, with at least 5–7 years in a P&C function within a mid-to-large matrixed organisation.
- Proven capability leading teams responsible for workforce reporting, dashboards, analytics and data services.
- Strong track record of working with HRIS, workforce management and reporting systems, including SAP SuccessFactors, ServiceNow or similar platforms.
- Proven capability developing and maintaining reporting and dashboard solutions using Power BI, Tableau or similar visualisation tools.
- A strong track record of improving data quality, governance and reporting standards within a complex organisation.
- Demonstrable capability partnering with People & Culture, Finance, Technology and business stakeholders to deliver data and analytics solutions.
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into reporting, analytics and data solutions.
- Exposure to organisational change, system implementations, acquisitions, integrations or transformation initiatives.
- Demonstrated success delivering automation and process improvement initiatives that improve efficiency and user experience.
- Practical knowledge of large and complex datasets, with the ability to deliver workforce insights and reporting outcomes.
- Working knowledge of data warehouses, data models, integrations and enterprise reporting environments.
