The Agency for Clinical Innovation (ACI) leads innovation in clinical care across NSW. We do this by bringing clinicians, patients and healthcare managers together to design and implement new ways to deliver healthcare.
About the Opportunity
This role will work collaboratively with all ACI Portfolios, the Ministry for Health, Local Health Districts and health professionals to complete and provide advice on evidence reviews. The Evidence Generation Officer Synthesis will:

Supports an evidence synthesis function that provides timely, valid and relevant information by searching and summarising peer reviewed and grey literature to produce high quality, succinct evidence summaries

Provide timely and tailored advice and support to staff across the clinical innovation and research division regarding access to and critical appraisal of available scientific evidence

Support a horizon scanning service that provides timely updates to key groups regarding emerging evidence and innovations

Be aware of protocols according to industry best practice to ensure accuracy of syntheses, data extraction, reference management, living evidence and evidence grading

Prepare high quality written advice in the form of reports, briefs, policy, discussion papers, presentations, respond to requests or initiate consideration of new initiative

Work collaboratively with data analysts, graphic designers, researchers, clinical experts and communication experts to produce a range of evidence-based communication products

Work collaboratively with all ACI Portfolios, the Ministry for Health, Local Health Districts and health professionals

Selection Criteria

Relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent professional experience.

Demonstrated experience in undertaking literature searches using multiple databases to inform decision making in health service delivery.

Demonstrated experience to undertake thorough and rigorous critical appraisal and synthesis of research evidence including producing accurate and succinct evidence summaries.

Demonstrated ability and experience in project management.
-
Highly developed interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience developing effective professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders including influencing and negotiating with stakeholders to adopt and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
