We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Mental Health Support Worker to provide high-quality, person-centred support to individuals living with mental health challenges. This role involves assisting participants to achieve their goals, increase independence, build community connections, and improve their overall wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one support to participants in their homes and within the community.
- Assist participants with social and recreational activities.
- Support participants to attend appointments and community-based programs.
- Encourage independence, confidence, and skill development.
- Maintain professional boundaries and positive working relationships.
- Complete accurate progress notes and incident reports.
- Follow participant support plans and organisational policies.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working in mental health support.
- Certificate IV in Mental Health, Community Services, Disability, or a related qualification.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage challenging situations professionally.
- Must hold a current ABN (Australian Business Number).
Highly Desirable
- Mental Health First Aid Certification.
- Experience supporting people with psychosocial disabilities.
- Knowledge of the NDIS and recovery-oriented practices.

Pay: $40.00 – $44.00 per hour
Expected hours: 3.0 – 9.0 per week
