HelloTech is Sydney's trusted mobile technology service, delivering on-site computer, laptop and device repairs plus IT support to homes and businesses across the Sydney metro area. We are growing our field team and looking for skilled, reliable Mobile Technicians to join us as independent contractors.
About the role
As a Mobile Technician you will travel to customers across Sydney to diagnose and resolve a wide range of technology issues on-site. Jobs are dispatched to you through our system, so you can take on the work that suits your schedule.
What you will do
- Travel to customer locations across Sydney to complete booked jobs
- Diagnose and repair computers, laptops and common devices
- Set up and troubleshoot networks, Wi-Fi, printers and peripherals
- Install software, perform data transfers and remove viruses/malware
- Deliver friendly, professional service with clear explanations for customers
- Keep accurate job notes and update job status in our technician app
What we are looking for
- Proven experience in computer/IT repair and troubleshooting
- Strong customer-service skills and a professional, presentable manner
- Own reliable vehicle and a valid driver's licence
- Own basic tools of trade and a smartphone able to run our technician app
- An ABN, or willingness to obtain one (this is a contractor role)
- A current police check, or willingness to obtain one
Pay
This is a commission-based contractor role. Technicians are paid 40% of the total value of each completed job. Earnings are uncapped and grow with the volume of jobs you take on.
