Honour Care is currently seeking a reliable, patient and engaging Support Worker to support a young NDIS participant in the Ipswich area.
The participant requires approximately 17 hours of support per week, with a combination of regular support .
Support may include:
- Assistance with daily living activities
- Cooking and meal preparation
- Community access and social participation
- Building independence and daily living skills
- Respite care
- Providing consistent emotional and practical support
- Supporting the participant to maintain routines and engage in meaningful activities
The participant has mental health-related support needs and an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI). We are therefore looking for someone who is calm, understanding, reliable and able to build a positive and respectful working relationship with a younger participant.
Experience supporting people with mental health, psychosocial disability, ABI or complex support needs would be highly regarded.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has relevant disability/support work experience
- Is patient, respectful and non-judgemental
- Can encourage independence while providing appropriate support
- Is confident with meal preparation and community-based support
- Can provide consistent weekly availability
- Is comfortable providing respite support when required
- Holds or is willing to obtain the relevant NDIS worker requirements/checks
Hours: Approximately 17 hours per week
Location: Ipswich area, QLD
