Etan Health Care is looking for a creative, organised and resourceful person to help us develop an exciting calendar of activities, weekend outings, summer programs and camping experiences for our NDIS participants.
This is a short-term planning role suited to someone who genuinely enjoys events, activities, travel, camping and discovering what is happening around Perth.Y
ou don't necessarily need to come from an NDIS background. We are particularly interested in someone who is an excellent planner, pays close attention to detail and knows how to turn an idea into a well-organised activity.
About Our Summer Series
Our Summer Series is all about creating fun, memorable and engaging weekends for clients living in our Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes.
Running throughout the warmer months, the Summer Series gives our clients regular opportunities to get out of the house, explore new places, socialise, try new experiences and enjoy everything WA has to offer.
No two weekends need to look the same. One weekend might involve a day trip to Serpentine Falls, a picnic or BBQ at a great Perth location, a beach day or local event, while another could be a bigger adventure such as a weekend camping trip or getaway to beautiful Albany.
The idea is simple: fun-filled weekends, new experiences and something for our clients to look forward to.
We want to thoughtfully plan these experiences in advance, creating a varied calendar that includes local outings, seasonal activities, day trips, weekend adventures and camping getaways.
Activities should be enjoyable, inclusive and suited to the interests and support needs of our clients.
What you'll be working on
Over the four-week contract, you will help us develop and pre-plan our activities calendar for October 2026 to March 2027.
Your work will include:
- Developing our Summer Series of activities for NDIS participants
- Creating a calendar of weekend activities and outings
- Researching new and interesting things happening across Perth
- Identifying seasonal events, festivals, experiences and recreational activities
- Planning camping trips and short getaways
- Researching suitable campgrounds and accommodation
- Developing proposed camping itineraries
- Researching transport requirements, travel times and logistics
- Obtaining indicative pricing and group booking information
- Identifying wet-weather and alternative activity options
- Considering accessibility and different participant support needs
- Developing activity budgets and cost estimates
- Identifying booking deadlines and important dates
- Creating activity information that our team can later provide to participants
- Building relationships and a database of activity providers, venues and potential partners
Camping Program
A major part of the project will be developing a forward camping calendar for October 2026 – March 2027 our summer series
Pay: $38.00 – $42.00 per hour
