We are looking for a Senior Marketing Analytics Engineer who is passionate about translating complex data into clear, actionable stories for business stakeholders. Moving beyond traditional dashboarding and deep data engineering, this role sits at the intersection of data, business strategy, and AI. You will empower our teams through advanced data visualisation, predictive analytics, and by deploying cutting-edge Natural Language Data Interfaces (NLDIs) that allow non-technical users to converse with our data.
While you won't be responsible for building out core data pipelines from scratch, you must have strong SQL skills to curate the right data models for advanced analytics. You thrive on understanding leadership concerns, breaking down ambiguous business problems, and driving adoption of self-service data tools.
This will include

Data Storytelling & Visualisation: Design intuitive, high-impact dashboards and visualisations that go beyond just showing numbers; identify anomalies, patterns, and insights to recommend what we should show and why.
- Natural Language & AI Enablement: Champion the rollout and management of Natural Language Data Interfaces (NLDIs), ensuring business users can query databases and analytics platforms using everyday conversational language.
- Predictive Analytics: Design and optimize predictive models (such as behavioural intent, lead scoring, or churn risk) to transition the business from reactive reporting to proactive decision-making.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Strategy: Partner closely with cross-functional leaders (Marketing, Sales, Product, etc.) to deeply understand their goals, translating their business questions into structured analytical approaches.
- Semantic Layer & Data Modelling: Use SQL to curate clean, reliable data views and semantic layers that are optimised for AI tools, large language models (LLMs), and self-service analytics.
- Data Literacy & Adoption: Act as a data evangelist, reducing the business's dependency on technical teams by training stakeholders to leverage AI-assisted analytics and NLDIs effectively.

SQL Mastery: Advanced proficiency in SQL and relational databases for querying, modeling, and structuring analytical views.
- Visualization Expertise: 5+ years of experience with leading BI and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) with a heavy emphasis on UI/UX best practices and dashboard design.
- AI & NLDI Familiarity: Experience working with (or a strong desire to implement) AI-assisted analytics, Natural Language Data Interfaces, or configuring metadata and data catalogs to support conversational AI queries.
- Predictive Mindset: Solid understanding of statistical modeling, forecasting, and how to apply predictive analytics to real-world business problems.
- Business Acumen: Exceptional communication and presentation skills; you are comfortable presenting complex insights to non-technical audiences and influencing decision-making.
- Strategic Thinker: You are self-directed and tenacious, capable of breaking down data silos to uncover end-to-end customer and campaign insights without needing a heavily engineered brief.
