Job Description
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced manager to join the leadership team as a Pharmacy Area Manager for North Queensland. This position will report through to the Pharmacy Operations Manager and will be responsible for overseeing the pharmacy operations at sites in Cairns, Mackay, Rockhampton, Bundaberg and Brisbane.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage and oversee the hospital dispensary and community pharmacy teams and coordinate their operations

Supporting strategic and operational initiatives by promoting compliance to policies and procedures, identifying and implementing business development opportunities, identifying opportunities for improvement to operating systems, processes and practices

Provide strategic leadership to manage pharmacy operations, pursue continuous improvement opportunities to gain operational efficiencies and achieve key performance indicators (including provision of clinical services, financial targets, people management and incident management response)

Work with all Pharmacy departments in the respective area to maximise their pharmacy performance and profitability whilst ensuring that all site targets are met.

Mentor and develop our pharmacy team, creating a positive and growth-orientated workplace culture.

Ensure compliance by the pharmacy team with all legislative requirements and accreditation standards.

Work with the Hospital Executive and Ramsay Pharmacy Management to ensure timely reporting and implementation of Ramsay Pharmacy & Hospital policies and procedures.
What You’ll Bring:
- Demonstrated pharmacy leadership experience – community and hospital pharmacy setting

Demonstrated ability to develop positive team culture, to problem solve, deliver solutions and manage challenging situations.

Advanced organisational and communication skills with a proven capacity to manage competing workload and to meet deadlines

Demonstrated ability to build effective, positive relationships with key stakeholders including Doctors, Nurse Unit Managers and Hospital Executive

Demonstrated participation in NSQHS Standards & Quality Care Pharmacy Programs

Previous experience in improving pharmacy processes and implementing through effective change management.
