Job Description: We are looking for a Cook to join our kitchen team at Moorabbin restaurant address and the salary we will be offering will be at the range of $76,600 to $80,000 plus superannuation.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and
presentation standards.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, and processing food items.
Cook and present meals including meat, seafood, vegetables, and dietary-specific dishes.
Ensure food is prepared and served at appropriate temperatures.
Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory control and stock rotation.
Store food safely in temperature-controlled facilities.
Conduct daily temperature checks of refrigerators and freezers.
Minimise food waste and support efficient kitchen operations.
Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff.
Follow all Workplace Health & Safety and food safety regulations.
Skills and Experience Required
Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience as a Cook.
Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food preparation techniques.
Ability to work efficiently in a busy team environment.
Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
Understanding of Australian food safety and hygiene standards.
Passion for quality food and attention to detail.
Qualifications
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher qualification is required.
