The House of Honey is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Retail Supervisor / Retail Assistant to join our award-winning tourism destination.
This is a split role, combining supervisory responsibilities with hands-on retail service. You'll lead the team during supervisor shifts while also working alongside colleagues as a Retail Assistant to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
No two days are the same. From serving customers and conducting honey tastings to supporting our mead cellar door and café operations, you'll play an important role in ensuring every visitor enjoys a memorable experience.
About the Role
As part of this flexible full-time position, your duties will include:
- Supervising daily retail operations and leading the team during allocated shifts.
- Providing outstanding customer service and product knowledge.
- Conducting honey tastings and assisting customers with purchases.
- Serving in our mead cellar door (RSA required).
- Assisting with merchandising, stock replenishment and presentation.
- Opening and closing the store when rostered.
- Supporting café and tourism operations when required.
- Training and mentoring team members.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety and workplace presentation.
- Assisting with general retail and administrative duties.

- Able to work in a fast-paced tourism environment.
- Flexible to work weekdays, weekends and public holidays on a rotating roster.
- Comfortable working across multiple areas of the business.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in retail, hospitality or tourism.
- Previous supervisory or team leader experience is desirable.
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Current Driver's Licence (desirable).

Pay: From $29.45 per hour
