About the Role
As a Retail Trade Salesperson, you'll be more than just a salesperson—you'll be a trusted advisor to tradespeople, businesses and DIY customers. You'll use your product knowledge to recommend the right solutions while delivering an outstanding customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers in-store and over the phone with expert product advice.
- Recommend the right tools and equipment for a wide range of trade applications.
- Build strong customer relationships that encourage repeat business.
- Achieve sales targets while delivering exceptional customer service.
- Stay up to date with current promotions, new products and industry trends.
- Maintain high merchandising standards and a well-presented showroom.
- Resolve customer enquiries professionally and efficiently.
- Work an 11-day rotating roster, including one weekend day each week.
About You
You'll be someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a busy retail environment and takes pride in delivering great service.
Ideally, you'll have:
- Experience in retail sales, trade sales or customer service.
- A trade background or strong knowledge of tools and power equipment (highly regarded).
- A passion for achieving sales results and exceeding customer expectations.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Confidence using computers and point-of-sale systems.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
