The Heritage & Environmental Lead is responsible for providing technical leadership across environmental, heritage, and statutory planning disciplines for telecommunications infrastructure projects. The role manages complex and high risk sitesworks, leadsing a small specialist team, acts as the escalation point for regulatory matters, and ensures compliant, efficient project delivery.
- Lead the management of complex and high risk sitesworks with environmental, heritage, and planning constraints.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to Operations, Project Managers, and key stakeholders.
- Act as the escalation point for environmental, heritage, and planning issues.
- Interpret and apply statutory and regulatory requirements across relevant jurisdictions.
- Provide technical and statutory sign‑off for complex and high‑risk matters.
- Engage, instruct and manage external environmental, heritage and planning consultants.
- Lead and manage a small team, including mentoring, workload allocation, and capability uplift.
- Identify, assess, and manage regulatory and compliance risks.
- Support continuous improvement of governance frameworks, processes, and technical standards.
- Lead and undertake planning activities, including Development Applications (DAs) where required.
