About You
You are an experienced banking and finance lawyer with a minimum of 5 years' experience, bringing a strong track record from private practice or in-house roles within large organisations.
Your Experience & Expertise:
- Strong capability in structuring, drafting, reviewing, negotiating and executing a broad range of financing transactions
- Experience supporting institutional banking or relationship banking businesses, providing commercially focused legal advice across lending, customer and transactional matters
- Proven ability to advise on the legal and regulatory framework applicable to banking and financial services, including the Corporations Act, Banking Code of Practice, Unfair Contract Terms regime and related regulatory requirements
- Strong transactional management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and drive transactions to financial close within tight timeframes
- Experience providing strategic and pragmatic legal advice to business stakeholders on complex customer, credit, risk and regulatory issues
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience working closely with bankers, credit teams, risk functions, product teams and senior business leaders
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced financial services environment while managing competing priorities and delivering high-quality legal support
