About the job
The Senior Administration Officer acts as the warm and welcoming face of Orygen - supporting our Parkville site with exceptional administrative expertise and creating a great first impression for young people, their families and visitors.
Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services, you will:
- Welcome visitors, manage enquiries, appointments, and reception, delivering friendly, professional, and youth-focused customer service every day.
- Coordinate meetings, communications, mail, supplies, and administrative systems to support efficient daily operations across multiple sites.
- Monitor duress systems, escalate risks appropriately, and support a safe, responsive, and well-communicated workplace environment.
- Assist with corporate services, fleet administration, staff identification, and continuous improvement of administration processes.
Skills and experience
The following criteria must be met for consideration for this position:
- Previous administration experience within healthcare or similar environments, delivering efficient, professional, and customer-focused support services.
- Strong computer literacy, including experience with medical practice software, reporting, and improving administrative systems and processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, confidently engaging with young people, families, carers, and multidisciplinary professionals.
- Highly organised, proactive and adaptable, with strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.

This is full-time (Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm, onsite), 12-month contract.
