- Experience supporting clients with complex physical disabilities is essential. Applicants must have confident manual handling and hoist skills, high-level personal care experience, and ability to follow detailed clinical care plans.
- Experience with respiratory support, PEG feeding or other high-dependency care is highly regarded.
- Comprehensive training on caring for a client with a tracheostomy and competency assessment will be provided.
- Must have good availability to cover 10-20 hours a week. Disability or complex care experience e.g. Motor Neuron, Spinal Cord, Acquired Brain Injury
- High care clients Manual handling and hoist experience
- Hoisting, slide sheets, electric wheelchair, repositioning in bed
- Personal care for high dependency clients
- Showering, toileting, continence care, pressure care and dignity-focused support Ability to follow detailed care plans and emergency procedures
- Clear communication, comfort with clinical routines, willingness to undertake and pass competency-based training
- · Has a license and drives
- · Cert 3 or 4 Aged Care/Disability or Div 2 Nursing or similiar
