Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and sustain strong relationships with key clients through proactive communication and consistently high service standards
- Manage escalations and resolve issues swiftly to ensure client satisfaction and retention
- Monitor client KPIs, profitability, and service delivery; take corrective actions when needed
- Identify and pursue opportunities for organic growth within your portfolio, supporting new business initiatives
- Prepare and present performance reports, KPI analyses, and operational metrics to clients
- Collaborate with internal teams, overseas agents, and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth onboarding and maintain accurate SOP documentation
- Provide client training, including software education and on-site support, to optimise operational efficiency
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimise supply chains and operational processes
- Ensure compliance with legislative, customs, and regulatory requirements
- Manage invoice queries, rate requests, and dispute resolution efficiently and within deadlines
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain management
- Strong knowledge of Incoterms, Australian Customs procedures, and industry trends
- Proven experience in key account management or similar client-facing roles within logistics
- Excellent communication, relationship management, and problem-solving skills
- Customer-centric, proactive, and solutions-oriented approach
- Strong analytical ability with keen attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and data analysis/reporting tools
Key Relationships:
- Internal: National Commercial Manager, Account Management Team Lead, Operations, Finance, and Commercial Teams
- External: Key clients, overseas agents, suppliers, and international offices
Key Performance Indicators:
- Achievement of client retention and service KPI targets
- Delivery of accurate, timely reports and account reviews
- Implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
- Effective resolution of client issues within set timeframes
- Contribution to account profitability and growth
