About the Role
We're looking for a passionate and capable Veterinary Nurse to join our team on a casual basis. This role offers the opportunity to work closely alongside experienced veterinarians, supporting a varied caseload while making a meaningful difference to the lives of patients and their families.
You'll be an integral part of the clinical team, bringing strong nursing skills, a proactive approach, and a commitment to delivering outstanding patient care.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting vets across surgery and consultations
- Acting as a reliable, organised presence in theatre – the vet's trusted third hand
- Preparing patients and equipment ahead of surgical procedures
- Monitoring anaesthesia and supporting post-operative recovery
- Assisting with general nursing and day-to-day clinic support
- Running pathology on in clinic IDEXX machines
- Completing nurse consultations
- Sharing your knowledge and experience to help develop others
- Delivering exceptional care and communication to our loyal client base
- Working alongside an experienced and supportive veterinary team
- Casual roster with no after-hours requirements
What We're Looking For
- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent) is required
- 1–2 years post-qualification veterinary nursing experience preferred
- Confidence supporting surgical procedures and monitoring anaesthesia
- Strong patient care and hospital nursing skills
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- A genuine love for animals and the people who care for them
- A positive, team-first attitude and willingness to support colleagues
- The ability to remain calm, organised, and professional in a busy clinical environment
- A passion for continuous learning and contributing to a collaborative team culture
