- Nursing Background (Diploma or Bachelor of Nursing Overseas) highly preferred.
-Must have previous experience with disability sector- supporting high physical needs, repositioning, using ceiling hoist, severe dyspahgia management,
- Experience with Seizure and Respiratory management

Reflection Care is urgently seeking experienced disability Support Workers to provide supports to one of the participants in Mt Druitt with immediate start.
The Roles
We are seeking motivated and passionate support worker (female as preferred by the participant) who is committed to providing high quality and person-centered care to make genuine difference in people’s lives. As a part of Reflection Care team, you will be comprehensively trained, supported, and expertly guided by our management and a clinical practice lead.
Our Support Worker position is to support, guide and inspire people with Complex care needs, Intellectual disabilities / Mental health to promote quality of living that include support with work, meaningful community engagements, education, relationships, and independent living skills.
Here is what we are looking for in the candidate like:
- someone with good communication skills
- having experience with ceiling hoist
- Assisting a participant with full feeding, bed bound care, using manual handling -using ceiling hoist, managing stocks,
- Experience in Seizure management
- Providing one on one support to participants with disabilities such as high physical, intellectual, neurological, acquired brain injury, or psychosocial in the comfort of their own home
- Implementing Behaviour management plan effectively: understanding meaningful engagements, being aware of triggers/contributing factors, interventions to de-escalate and prevent incidents
- Building genuine rapport with participants, providing companionship, and transportation for medical's appointment or outings
- Collaborating with the client, care coordinator and other relevant parties to help achieve the participant’s goals
- Engaging and interacting with participants from all diverse cultures and background
We are looking for:
- Support workers with the experience in working with participants high physical needs (bed and chair bound care)
- Passionate support workers that want to empower participants to achieve their goals through a person-centred approach
- Sociable support workers that love interacting in meaningful conversation that helps keep the participants mind healthy and help to engage in meaningful activities
- CAN-DO attitude that is also compassionate, caring and reliable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Requirements:
- Cert III or IV in Individual Support (Disability, Community or Ageing support) or Equivalent
- NDIS Worker Check (NDISWC)
- WWCC (if willing to work with children)
- AFP Police Check
- CPR and First Aid Certificate
- Driving License and Access to own car with comprehensive insurance
- Proof of Vaccinations (preferred)
- Working rights (Australian visa with working Rights) or citizen
