Customer Service & Doggy Daycare Assistant

Paws of Fun is looking for a reliable, energetic and dog loving team member to join our growing daycare family.
This is a varied role combining front of house customer service, dog walking, daycare duties and general cleaning and care of our facility.
Hours
10:00 am to 6:00 pm
Minimum 3 to 4 shifts per week
Opportunity for additional shifts for the right person
About the role
Your day may include:
Greeting clients and checking dogs in and out of daycare
Answering phones, emails and customer enquiries
Walking dogs in small, well managed groups
Supervising and interacting with dogs in daycare
Cleaning and maintaining a high standard of hygiene throughout the facility
Feeding dogs and administering simple care instructions
Monitoring dog behaviour and ensuring safe play
Taking photos and videos of our daycare dogs
Assisting with general daily operations and helping wherever needed
We’re looking for someone who:
Absolutely loves dogs of all breeds and sizes
Is confident handling dogs or is eager to learn
Has excellent customer service and communication skills
Is physically fit and comfortable being on their feet for most of the day
Is reliable, punctual and takes pride in their work
Works well independently and as part of a team
Has great attention to detail and maintains high cleaning standards
Remains calm in a fast paced environment
Holds a current driver’s licence (preferred but not essential)
Please note
This is a physically active role. You will spend most of the day on your feet walking dogs, cleaning, lifting, bending, mopping and working both indoors and outdoors in a range of weather conditions. If you’re looking for a desk job, this isn’t it. If you enjoy keeping active and spending your day with dogs, you’ll love it!
Experience
Previous experience working with dogs, in animal care, veterinary clinics, grooming, dog walking, retail or hospitality is highly regarded, but we are happy to train the right person with a genuine passion for dogs.
