Love working outside? We're looking for a 1st or 2nd Year Apprentice Gardener to join our growing team.
You'll learn all aspects of garden maintenance including mowing, hedging, pruning and irrigation while working alongside experienced gardeners.
Full training provided. Ideal for someone reliable, hands-on and keen to learn.
Applicants must be 16+ years of age to be eligible for this apprentice position.
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at Hedgemen as an Apprentice in Parks & Gardens. As an Apprentice, you will be working in a full-time role based in North Rocks, NSW and will be responsible for the maintenance and beautification of all things green! This is a great chance to develop your skills in the Gardening & Landscaping industry and work towards a nationally recognised qualification.
What you'll be doing
- Undertake general gardening and landscaping duties such as mowing, edging, weeding, pruning and mulching.
- Assist with the planting and maintenance of a variety of plants, trees and shrubs.
- Operate and maintain gardening equipment and machinery safely and effectively.
- Contribute to the overall presentation and cleanliness of open spaces.
- Participate in on-the-job training and complete a formal apprenticeship program.
What we're looking for
- Interest and enthusiasm for gardening, landscaping and the outdoors.
- Strong physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labour tasks.
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills through on-the-job training and formal study.
- A positive attitude, good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Australian citizens and permanent residents are eligible to apply for this apprenticeship.
