About the Role
Speech for Everyone is seeking enthusiastic Allied Health Assistants to join our team as we continue supporting children, adults and families across the Coffs Harbour region.
Whether you're looking for school hours, returning to the workforce, studying Speech Pathology, or seeking a rewarding career in allied health, we'd love to hear from you.
As an Allied Health Assistant, you'll work closely with our Speech Pathologists to support children, teenagers and adults with a wide range of communication needs. You'll receive ongoing supervision, mentoring and training, allowing you to build confidence and develop valuable clinical skills.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering therapy programs under the supervision of a Speech Pathologist.
- Supporting clients during individual and group therapy sessions.
- Preparing therapy activities and resources.
- Recording session notes and progress data.
- Assisting with general clinic organisation and occasional reception duties.
- Working collaboratively with Speech Pathologists, families and support networks.
No two days are the same, and you'll have the opportunity to work across the clinic, schools and community settings.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Warm, approachable and enjoys building relationships with children, families and adults.
- Reliable, organised and able to work independently while following clinical direction.
- Eager to learn and develop new skills.
- Flexible and able to adapt to different clients and therapy activities.
You will also have:
- Experience in childcare, education, disability support or a similar role (essential).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
- A current driver's licence and reliable vehicle.
Formal allied health qualifications are not required.
Speech Pathology students, Education students, and people with disability support or education experience are all encouraged to apply.

Pay & Conditions
- From $29 per hour + superannuation, depending on experience and qualifications
- Based on the Health Professionals and Support Services Award 2020
- Part-time and full-time positions available
