As our next Carbonite, you’ll be joining a team at multiple levels. You’ll be part of a team in your office, working with other talented people such as yourself. You’ll also be joining our national ranks, meaning you can easily tap into a knowledge base for a tricky question or to bounce ideas off of for the next team activity.
About the role.
As a valuable member of our Bookkeeping & CFO Services team, our Senior Bookkeeper will deliver high-quality bookkeeping service to a portfolio of clients across a variety of industries. Experience managing a diverse client base is essential for this role.
We’re looking for someone who is eager and willing to learn new skills and display initiative. Experience in Xero and MYOB is required, as is the ability to quickly learn new software as we’re a business known to embrace new technologies. You’ll need to be able to problem-solve, have a strong attention to detail, and display high levels of accuracy.
We're looking for someone with:
- Comprehensive understanding of bookkeeping principles.
- High level of experience with using Xero.

- Strong communication and relationship building skills.
- Self-motivated and ability to work autonomously.

- Day-to-day bookkeeping in multiple platforms.
- Setting up new client data files, chart of accounts and payroll.
- Providing basic bookkeeping training to clients.
- Wages, commissions, superannuation, STP, Payroll Tax.
- Reconciliation and preparation of business/instalment activity statements (BAS/IAS).
- Accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Troubleshooting issues in client files. Preparing and reviewing monthly P&L and balance sheets to compile management reports;
- Reconciliation of bank transactions;
- Problem solving;
- End of year reporting;
- Accounts receivable and accounts payable;
- Managed client onboarding from start to finish (including lead management and issuing proposals);
- Ad-hoc payroll support; and
- Ongoing client liaison.
