Endless Support Services is seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to join our small, values-driven team.
We are currently recruiting for a specific role supporting a female participant in the Springfield area. The role involves personal care, including showering and toileting, medication assistance and light mobility assistance. Regular availability for inactive sleepover shifts is essential.
About the role:
Depending on your availability and roster requirements, work may range from approximately one to four shifts, or 5 to 38 hours, per week.
Duties may include:
- Providing respectful personal care, including showering and toileting
- Assisting with medication in accordance with the participant’s support plan and organisational procedures
- Providing light mobility assistance
- Supporting the participant with daily routines and activities
- Completing clear and accurate shift documentation
- Providing consistent, trauma-informed and person-centred support
- Working independently while following support plans, policies and reporting requirements
- Completing inactive sleepover shifts
Inactive sleepovers are paid in accordance with the SCHADS Award, including the applicable sleepover allowance.
About you
This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for an experienced support worker who is dependable, observant and comfortable working independently. You will understand that good support requires consistency, professionalism, respect for personal dignity and attention to detail.
You must:
- Have previous disability support work or closely related experience
- Be available and willing to complete inactive sleepover shifts
- Have experience providing personal care
- Understand trauma-informed care
- Hold a current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card)
- Hold a current Blue Card
- Hold a current Queensland driver licence
- Hold current First Aid and CPR certificates
- Have access to a reliable, appropriately insured vehicle
- Be able to commence promptly
Experience providing medication assistance and mobility support will be highly regarded.
