Loan That Label is one of Perth’s leading luxury dress rental boutiques, specialising in premium formalwear and occasion wear. We are currently seeking an experienced seamstress to join our team and assist in maintaining our premium designer dress collection.
This is an initial casual position from July – September 2026, with strong potential for ongoing casual employment for the right candidate.
About the role
You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our collection of premium rental garments, ensuring each piece remains in exceptional condition for our clients.
Responsibilities include:
- Invisible zip replacements
- Heavy metal zip replacements
- Hemming and temporary hems
- Strap adjustments and alterations
- Hook & eye repairs and replacements
- Ribbon and trim replacements
- Cosmetic garment repairs
- General garment maintenance and repairs
- Quality control of luxury formalwear
What we’re looking for
- Previous sewing, dressmaking or garment repair experience essential
- Experience working with formalwear, occasion wear or delicate fabrics highly regarded
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Confidence using sewing machines and completing repairs independently
- Ability to maintain a consistently high standard of work
Position details
- Casual position
- July – September 2026 initial placement
- Approximately 1 regular in-store shift per week, with additional hours depending on workload
- Based at our Applecross boutique
Potential for ongoing casual employment and additional flexible garment repair work opportunities for the right candidate.
Pay: $32.31 – $35.15 per hour
