At DECJUBA, we’re all about fashion that makes our customers look and feel amazing. Our Buying team plays a key role in bringing that to life, creating product ranges that are on brand, commercially strong, and loved by our customers.
We’re now looking for an experienced Buyer – Accessories to lead and grow our accessories category across bags, jewellery, belts, scarves, hats, and other key finishing pieces.
The Role
As our Buyer – Accessories, you’ll own the category from trend direction through to product delivery, building a range that completes the DECJUBA customer’s wardrobe and drives strong commercial results.
You’ll identify key trends, work closely with suppliers, and partner with Planning, Production, Marketing, and Visual Merchandising to deliver accessories that are brand-right, customer-focused, and commercially successful.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role for someone who knows how to balance creativity with performance. You’ll bring a strong eye for product, a clear commercial mindset, and the confidence to make decisions that move the category forward.
You’ll also lead and support junior team members, helping them grow their careers, confidence, and impact.
What you’ll be doing
Range building and commercial strategy
Build and deliver a strong accessories range that supports the DECJUBA brand and customer.
Identify key trends and translate them into commercial product opportunities.
Develop seasonal ranges across bags, jewellery, belts, scarves, hats, and other accessories.
Review weekly trade performance and take action on bestsellers, slow movers, repeats, and markdowns.
Partner with Planning on sales forecasts, option plans, pricing, margins, and size or quantity decisions.
Complete regular competitor research and store visits to keep the range relevant and competitive.
Present range direction, product opportunities, and trade updates with confidence.
Product development and execution
Work closely with suppliers to develop product that meets brand, quality, margin, and delivery expectations.
Source materials, finishes, trims, hardware, and packaging that support the product vision.
Review and approve samples, ensuring quality, finish, function, and cost are aligned.
Ensure product details, specifications, and supplier information are accurate and complete.
Partner with Production to manage timelines, approvals, and delivery milestones.
Work with Marketing and Visual Merchandising to support strong product storytelling and in-store execution.
Sustainability and quality
Support responsible sourcing and sustainable product development opportunities across the category.
Consider durability, quality, material choices, and product longevity through the development process.
Work with suppliers and internal teams to identify better ways to develop and deliver product.
Leadership and team development
Lead, coach, and support junior team members.
Set clear expectations and provide regular feedback as part of our BIG CHAT Little Chat cycle.
Build capability across product development, commercial thinking, supplier management, and trade analysis.
Create a positive, collaborative team environment aligned to DECJUBA’s values.
What you’ll bring
Minimum five years’ experience as a Buyer, ideally within accessories, fashion, or lifestyle product.
Strong accessories product knowledge across materials, construction, finishes, hardware, and quality.
A strong eye for trend, colour, detail, and commercial product.
Proven experience building ranges that drive sales and support brand direction.
Strong trade analysis skills and confidence using data to make product decisions.
Experience working with suppliers, managing samples, and delivering product to critical timelines.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience leading, coaching, or mentoring junior team members.
Confidence working in a fast-paced retail environment.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator, is highly regarded.
Why DECJUBA?
A fast-paced, creative, and collaborative environment.
The opportunity to shape and grow a key product category.
A passionate team that loves product, customers, and results.
Strong career development opportunities.
A business committed to better ways of working, responsible sourcing, and continuous improvement.
If you’re an experienced Buyer with a passion for accessories, product, and people, we’d love to hear from you.
and be part of DECJUBA.
