About the role
We are looking for positive, enthusiastic lecturers to join our team as part time or casual lecturers in Education. This is a great opportunity for experienced educators whether from schools or higher education to contribute to the development of initial teacher education students in PDHPE.
You will play a key role in designing and delivering engaging learning experiences that support our future PDHPE teachers.
Teaching Areas
We are particularly interested in applicants with experience in:
- PDHPE and associated syllabuses (Stage 4- 6):
- PDHPE 7-10
- HMS 11-12
- CAFS
- Child Studies
- Adolescent Health Issues
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education
Key Responsibilities
- Teaching & Learning
- Preparing and delivering lectures, tutorials, seminars, and practical sessions.
- Encouraging and guiding discussions to promote active learning and critical thinking.
- Assessment & Student Support
- Preparing, marking and moderating assessments.
- Providing academic support to students.
- Curriculum & Program Development
- Contributing to unit development, curriculum revision, and academic planning.
- Resource Development:
- Creating and compiling learning materials.
About you
Qualifications and Experience
- Master’s qualification preferred, but strong applicants currently completing a Master’s (within 6 months), or with extensive PDHPE teaching experience will be considered
- 5+ years secondary teaching experience
- Tertiary teaching experience (desirable but not essential)
- Experience using LMS platforms such as Canvas
