We are Hero Sushi, a multi-venue business with a strong presence in the Australian market for Japanese-style restaurants. We are seeking to add further talent to our team at our Hornsby Train branch in Sydney’s North. We are looking for a driven, creative, and charismatic leader with experience in both kitchen and front-of-house operations to help our team meet today’s demands and future challenges.
You will start with approximately a 2-month training and brand assimilation period, to ensure you understand our expectations and standards. This will give you a strong foundation for long-term success. Those who excel may be given the opportunity to oversee multiple locations and take on higher responsibilities, as we prefer to promote from within.
Hourly Rate (Before tax) :
- Weekdays $32.00-$35.00
- Saturday X 1.25 times hourly rate
- Sunday x 1.5 times hourly rate
- Public Holiday X2.25 times hourly rate
- Overtime Pay x1.5 - 2.25 times hourly rate
- Super 12%
- Annual Leave + Sick Leave included
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a dynamic team of 15–20 members across kitchen and front-of-house operations
- Communicate effectively with strong written and verbal skills
- Nurture team talent and promote a positive team culture
- Lead the team to exceed company standards in hospitality and food quality
- Manage KPIs and daily operations efficiently
- Organize staff shifts and scheduling to ensure smooth operations
- Deliver excellent customer service and lead by example
- Ensure all food safety procedures and workplace safety standards are maintained
- Recruit, train, and mentor staff
- Handle stock control, ordering, and inventory management
- Basic computer literacy required
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a management or supervisory role within the hospitality industry
- Experience in kitchen operations (willing to learn further if required)
Desirable Qualifications:
- Diploma in Hospitality Management
- Hospitality Supervisor Apprenticeship
