A Provisional Fellow is in their final year as a Trainee in Anaesthesia and is an experienced Anaesthesia provider. The Provisional Fellowship Year facilitates the Trainee's progression to Specialist practice.
An Anaesthetist is a highly trained specialist Medical Practitioner who provides anaesthesia and comprehensive perioperative care for procedures across the hospital. They ensure patients are optimised for surgery and through their skills and knowledge ensure safe care of the patient throughout their perioperative journey. Management of pain is core to the provision of anaesthesia. Resuscitation and Critical Care, in collaboration of other medical specialities, is also at the centre of their practice.
About your opportunity:
In this position you will.....
Under the supervision of the relevant Consultants, initiate, maintain and be responsible for the clinical care of patients.
Manage the administrative requirements of the hospital and patient care including ensuring discharge summaries and medico-legal correspondence is completed with minimal delay.
Coordinate education & training sessions in Obstetric Anaesthesia including Simulation sessions.
