We're looking for our next Competitive Pathways Coordinator to build on that success by coaching and developing swimmers, mentoring coaches and helping shape the future of our Competitive Pathways program across NSW.
This is a unique opportunity to combine hands-on coaching, swimmer development, pathway leadership and relationship building within one of Australia’s most respected aquatic organisations.

The Opportunity:
As our Competitive Pathways Coordinator, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality coaching while supporting the continued growth of our Competitive Pathways program.
This is a hands-on role working across multiple Carlile Swim locations, combining coaching, coach development and program coordination while helping swimmers reach their potential in a positive, safe and high-performing environment.
In this role, you will:
Coach Competitive Pathways squads and help swimmers reach their potential
Mentor and support Competitive Pathways coaches
Champion high-quality coaching standards and program delivery
Support swimmer progression through our Competitive Pathways program
Attend swim meets, providing coaching, feedback and support to swimmers
Build strong relationships with swimmers, families and centre teams
Coordinate squad administration and pathway communication
Identify opportunities to strengthen participation, retention and program growth
Promote a positive, safe and inclusive team culture

This role works across our Competitive Pathways programs at:

Killarney Heights
- Ryde
- Cherrybrook
Travel between locations will be required.
This role may involve a combination of before and after school coaching sessions, with some weekend swim meet attendance required.
About the Programs:
Otters Squad
A development squad designed for younger swimmers showing strong potential and interest in extending their swimming journey.
Competitive Transition Squad (CTS)
A transition squad supporting swimmers interested in progressing toward competitive swimming environments and club pathways.
These programs are designed to complement and support existing competitive swimming pathways, including partnership opportunities with Carlile Swimming Club.
About You
You'll enjoy developing swimmers, supporting coaches and creating environments where athletes and teams can thrive.
You'll bring:
✔️ Previous squad coaching experience
✔️ A passion for developing athletes and mentoring coaches
✔️ Strong leadership, communication and relationship-building skills
✔️ Excellent organisational and planning skills
✔️ A collaborative, proactive and solutions-focused approach
✔️ A commitment to safety, continuous improvement and exceptional family experiences
✔️ Current CPR and NSW Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain
