DuraCube is seeking a Joinery Procurement Manager with a solid understanding of the building industry to join our dynamic team and play a vital role in driving operational efficiency and cost optimisation.
About the Role
As our Joinery Procurement Manager, you will oversee the sourcing, purchasing, importing, and stock control processes – ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of materials. You'll collaborate closely with the operations, sales, and production teams to manage supplier relationships, sharpen purchasing strategies, and maintain optimal inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiating favourable terms to reduce costs.
- Source non-stock products, evaluating fit-for-purpose suitability, availability, and cost.
- Identify alternative suppliers for stock products and present findings to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with sales and production teams to refine stock forecasts and support project pricing.
- Manage purchasing activities including placing orders, tracking goods, and organising subcontract manufacturing.
- Oversee stock control processes including consumption monitoring, physical stocktakes, and managing obsolete stock.
- Handle freight and clearance for imported goods and ensure supplier compliance with regulations and DuraCube standards.
- Work with the Operations Manager to manage subcontractor installer agreements.
What We’re Looking For
Required
- Practical experience in the building industry
- Proven procurement, supplier negotiation, and inventory management skills
- Strong analytical and forecasting abilities with sharp attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in ERP systems (Odoo experience a plus)
- Commercial acumen and the ability to communicate diplomatically
Nice to Have:
- Joinery or subcontract management experience
- WHS experience
- Familiarity with import procedures and supply chain compliance

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $110,000.00 – $140,000.00 per year
