Gain a qualification whilst you work. A childcare traineeship is a great way to find out if a career in childcare is for you. You will obtain a Certificate III in Childrens Services on completion of the 18 month traineeship. (Candidates will commence your studies through our RTO Tafe).
To work in childcare you need to have a qualification for childcare or be studying childcare. A childcare traineeship (18months) is a great way to to study and work at the same time. You will be paid the award traineeship rate whilst you gain a qualification in childcare. If you already have a Certificate III in Early Childhoood Education or halfway through studying towards a qualification you do not meet the requirements for this position as it is for an unqualified applicant.
We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual who is passionate about childcare and dedicated to their own learning to join our team as a Trainee. We will provide you with a traineeship contract giving you on the job training and resources to complete a Certificate III in Children's Services (no cost to you) whilst being guided and mentored by supportive and experienced educators. You will be paid award traineeship rates and be formally signed up with Apprenticeships Australia as a childcare trainee. Our centre is a small family owned childcare centre with a friendly team of supportive educators, who are passionate about caring and supporting children as they grow. Our centre caters to children from 0- 5 years.

This is a great way to start your childcare career - a way to find out if childcare is for you (you can not work in childcare unless you are working towards a qualification).
Our centre is located 50m from the nearest bus stop, which takes you to Turramurra Station. Street parking is available.

- Hold a paid Working with Children Check (this is essential - to get one apply through Service NSW).
- Available to work full-time between the hours of 7:00am and 6:00 pm Monday- Friday. (Your 8 hour shift times will vary each week between these hours). You will work a rotating roster meaning your shifts will change week to week however it will be between 7am and 6pm. If you are unable to work 5 days a week or need a set shift please put it in your application so we can consider if this could work or not.
- An Australian Resident or hold a working visa with over 18 months till expiry (essential).
This is a FULLTIME position 5 days a week Monday to Friday we will only consider applicants who meet this criteria.
If you already hold a certificate III in childrens services or are currently studying a childcare course please do not apply as you do not meet the criteria and will be rejected.

Pay: $11.00 – $23.00 per hour
