About the Role
As a Hoist Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of personnel and material hoists on a busy commercial construction site. You will work closely with site management, subcontractors, and construction teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate personnel and material hoists.
- Complete daily pre-start inspections and maintain required records.
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors and workers.
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of personnel and materials.
- Report equipment faults and coordinate maintenance when required.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Comply with all WHS policies, procedures, and site requirements.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current Construction White Card.
- Relevant High Risk Work Licence (where required).
- Previous experience operating construction hoists on commercial projects.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
- Dogging or Rigging Licence.
- Working at Heights certification.
- First Aid Certificate.
- Experience working on high-rise commercial construction projects.
