Veterinary Oncology Nurse

Melbourne Animal Referral Services (MARS) is a team of highly experienced and dedicated specialists, delivering exceptional standards of care from our purpose-built, multidisciplinary hospital which is relocating to Mitcham.
We now have a rare opening for a caring, experienced vet nurse who loves building connections with patients and clients alike. With a special interest in oncology, radiology, and palliative care, the nurse we require is dedicated, empathetic, and super-efficient.
About the Role
We’re looking for a qualified, experienced Veterinary Nurse, to join our dedicated specialist service, working alongside our Oncologist, two interns, and team of amazing Oncology nurses.
This is a busy department, and our caseload continues to grow, but we are staffed by a team that work cohesively to achieve the best for their clients and patients.
You’ll also collaborate closely with our Internal Medicine and Specialist Surgical teams, making this a fantastic opportunity to grow your skills in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.
Your days will involve:
- Providing gentle, thoughtful care to our oncology patients
- Supporting diagnostic imaging and radiology procedures
- Assisting with chemotherapy and palliative treatments
- Offering compassion and reassurance to pet parents during emotional times
About You
We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Are a qualified vet nurse with minimum 2 – 3 years’ experience
- Have a passion for patient care, oncology, or radiology
- Are empathetic, calm, and organised
- Are efficient and work well under pressure
- Enjoy working in a close-knit, supportive team
