Our client requires experienced Female Disability Support Workers who have experience supporting people with mental health conditions and challenging behaviors. This role reports to an Area Manager, who supports and trains you to ensure you deliver exceptional care.
About the Role:
- In home care assisting and enabling participants with daily tasks inc. meal preparation, personal care and administering medication.
- Assisting with domestic duties around the home.
- Supporting clients to engage and participate in their community.
- Support and enable participants to achieve their goals.
About You
- Minimum 2 plus years of experience in the disability sector.
- Experience working in behaviour support environments, with exposure to restrictive practices highly regarded
- Strong de-escalation skills, with the ability to respond calmly and safely to behaviors of concern in line with Behavior Support Plans.
- Able to follow structured routines and deliver consistent, person-centered support that promotes participant safety and independence
- Competent in documentation and data collection, including incident reporting, progress notes, and ABC charting
- Understanding of regulatory and safeguarding requirements within the NDIS framework (desirable)
- Minimum Certificate III Disability or similar/higher.
- NSW Driver’s License (or similar) plus own car is desirable.
