About XtraClubs
XtraClubs is on a mission to democratise wellness — making world-class sauna, ice bath and steam accessible to everyone, not just pro athletes and the wealthy. We’re the tech-powered, affordable-luxury wellness club, delivering a premium, self-serve experience anytime, from 6am to 11pm, every day.
In under two years we’ve opened four clubs — Manly, Bondi Junction, Marrickville and Green Square — including the Southern Hemisphere’s largest communal sauna. We have four more in the pipeline, all opening before the end of our third year of trade, with our first interstate club at Canberra Centre in October 2026.
Sauna and cold-plunge demand is surging worldwide — up 40% in the US in just the last 24 months — and XtraClubs is built to own this category, at home and around the world. We’re growing fast, and we’re building the team, systems and financial discipline to match.
The Opportunity
We’re hiring our first Financial Controller to own the accounting and finance function end-to-end as we scale from four clubs to eight and beyond. This is a newly created, permanent role for someone who wants to build and own finance at XtraClubs — not assist from the sidelines.
It’s also a rare step-up. Our fractional CFO leads finance today; through a deliberate, planned handover they’ll transition out, and the successful candidate will step onto an accelerated pathway to become Chief Financial Officer of XtraClubs. You may not have held a Financial Controller title before — that’s by design. We’re backing a high-performing professional ready to make the leap, not a career controller looking for a steady seat.
This is a hands-on, build-it role in a lean team. You’ll have real ownership from day one and meaningful challenges ahead — multi-site and interstate expansion, new club openings and significant capital investment — with handover support from our outgoing fractional CFO as you step up.
