What you’ll be doing
Zeal Futures’ independent secondary school currently supports students in Years 9 and 10, providing an engaging, inclusive and supportive learning environment. The school will expand to include Years 11 and 12, with this role commencing in January 2027. This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to be part of the continued growth of our school and make a genuine difference in the day-to-day learning, engagement and wellbeing of young people through hands-on classroom support.
As a Student Learning Support Officer (internally referred to as Classroom Support), you will work closely with our students, teachers and wellbeing staff to provide hands-on support that enhances student engagement and success. You will also be responsible for:
- Maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment, offering support that encourages student engagement and confidence.
- Supporting teachers with planning and differentiating learning programs, tasks and assessments across a range of subjects, ensuring effective learning support and successful student outcomes
- Building and maintaining positive, trusted, and professional relationships with students.
- Delivering learning support that is flexible and responsive to student learning needs, providing opportunities for the student to be actively involved in their own learning.
- Participating in school events, professional development opportunities and other extracurricular activities

What you’ll bring to the table
- Certificate III or IV in Education Support (or equivalent).
- Experience working with students with additional needs is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A caring, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting young people.
- A current Working with Children Check (WWCC) for paid employment.
