About Amberley Health Centre
RAAF Base Amberley, the largest Air Force Base in Australia and approximately 50 minutes from Brisbane city. It provides operational and maintenance support for the precision strike element of the Air Combat Group, F/A-18F Super Hornet aircraft. Supports the strategic lift capability for the Australian military’s KC-30A Multi-Role Tanker Transport (MRTT), C-17 Globemaster III heavy lift aircraft and C-27J Spartan battlefield airlifters. The health centre provides primary medical, aviation medical, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health and pharmaceutical services to over 6500 RAAF members. The standard operating hours of the centre are generally 0700-1630 Monday – Thursday (depending on role requirements), and a half day (5.5 hours) Friday.
What you’ll do

Work shifts between Monday to Friday to cover planned and unplanned leave

Deliver nursing care to Defence personnel under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse

Provide outpatient care, and where required support inpatient care within a health centre or hospital setting

Administer medications (where endorsed) in line with legislative requirements and clinical protocols

Assist with patient assessments, treatment plans and health promotion activities

Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, efficient and high-quality care
What you bring
-
Current unconditional and unrestricted AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2)

Minimum two years’ post registration nursing experience in acute care, primary healthcare or similar setting within the last five years

Medication endorsement (if applicable to role requirements)

Commitment to clinical governance, infection control and high-quality patient care

Current CPR certification (HLTAID009)

Australian Citizenship required (baseline security clearance)

Commitment to CPD and ongoing professional development
