Disability Support Worker – Bendigo (Ongoing Weekly Shifts)
Location: Quarry Hill, Bendigo VIC
Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday (ongoing)
Hours: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM (3 hours per shift)
Employment Type: Casual (with consistent weekly hours and potential for additional shifts)
About the Role
First Melbourne Care is seeking a reliable and experienced Disability Support Worker to provide ongoing one-on-one support to a participant based in Bendigo.
This is a stable, long-term opportunity involving both in-home support and community access, with a strong focus on building trust, routine, and meaningful engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate in-home support and companionship and House hold duties.
- Assist with daily routines and personal tasks
- Support safe and confident community access (appointments, outings)
- Act as a consistent, reliable presence and guide for the participant
- Deliver respectful, person-centred care at all times
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Mature, calm, and dependable (ideal for candidates aged 25–50)
- A confident communicator with clear and respectful interaction skills
- Reliable and committed to ongoing weekly shifts
- Able to build rapport while maintaining professional boundaries
- Comfortable supporting a participant who is suffering from Mental Health challenges
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in disability support (preferred)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Current driver’s licence
- Own vehicle with comprehensive insurance
- CPR and First Aid Certificate
- NDIS Orientation Module certificate
- Strong observational and communication skills
