About the Business Unit:
The MARAM Family Violence Learning and Capability Team helps the department meet its ongoing obligations under the Family Violence Protection Act 2008, including alignment with the MARAM Framework and implementation of the Family Violence Inform.ation Sharing Scheme and Child Inform.ation Sharing Scheme. The team builds workforce capability across the department and prescribed funded agencies to identify and respond to family violence by developing and delivering customised training tailored to workforce context and relevant reforms.
About the Role:
This role reports to the Learning and Capabilit y Consultant - Instructional Design and will support a new program of work in the MARAM Family Violence Learning and Capability team developing contemporary learning solutions.
The Learning and Capability Officer will work on projects that involve collaboration with key Aboriginal stakeholders across the department, and
people who identify as Aboriginal are strongly encouraged to apply. This is a VPS 3 fixed-term full-time role to 30 June 2027 within the Department of Justice and Community Safety's Learning and Capability branch, based in Melbourne. Reporting to the Learning and Capability Consultant - Instructional Design, the role supports the MARAM Family Violence Learning and Capability Team to build workforce capability across DJCS and funded agencies. The position helps develop and deliver contemporary learning products such as eLearns, videos, digital resources and SharePoint content, translating complex family violence policy and operational inform.ation into clear, practical and accessible materials for staff. The role also provides strong project and administrative support, including coordinating learning products, maintaining project documentation, tracking progress, supporting stakeholder engagement, and contributing to review and continuous improvement activities. It suits someone with experience in project support or administration, strong organisation and attention to detail, sound communication skills, and confidence using Microsoft 365 and other digital tools. Desirable backgrounds include project support, business administration, education, training or adult learning, along with an inclusive and collaborative approach aligned with Victorian Public Sector values.
Some of your duties will include:

Assist the Instructional Designer in the coordination, development, implementation and review of learning products and resources, including digital learning materials, guides, presentations and related content.

Prepare and maintain project records, status updates, meeting notes, registers and other documentation to support effective project delivery.

Use a strong attention to detail to check materials for accuracy, consistency, formatting, accessibility and alignment with business requirements.
