Job Summary
The Credit Officer / Credit Analyst is responsible for evaluating loan applications, assessing the creditworthiness of individuals and businesses, and recommending appropriate lending decisions. The role ensures compliance with the bank's credit policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management standards while maintaining high-quality customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze loan applications and supporting financial documents.
- Assess the financial strength, repayment capacity, and credit history of borrowers.
- Conduct financial statement analysis and cash flow assessments.
- Perform credit risk evaluations and prepare detailed credit appraisal reports.
- Recommend loan approvals, modifications, or rejections based on established credit policies.
- Ensure all credit proposals comply with internal policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Monitor existing loan portfolios and identify potential credit risks.
- Coordinate with Relationship Managers, Operations, and other departments during the loan approval process.
- Maintain accurate customer records and credit documentation.
- Assist in loan recovery and portfolio monitoring when required.
- Prepare periodic credit and portfolio performance reports for management.
- Stay informed about market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments affecting credit risk.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional certifications in banking or finance are an advantage.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in credit analysis, lending, or banking operations.
- Experience in financial statement analysis and credit appraisal is preferred.

- Understanding of banking regulations and compliance requirements.

Pay: $4,500.00 – $5,000.00 per month
