POSITION DESCRIPTION
Occupation title: Airconditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic
Employment type: Full time 38 hours
Salary: $79, 499 per annum plus superannuation
Location: Tarneit, VIC
Orlando Refrigeration and Building Maintenance is looking for a candidate to fulfil the position of an Airconditioning and Refrigeration mechanic as soon as possible in the Tarneit, Vic.
The suitable employee will be undertaking the following tasks:
- Interpreting technical drawings and specifications to determine job requirements and establish installation reference points.
- Drilling holes, installing mounting brackets, and cutting, bending, and threading piping as required for system installation.
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration components including compressors, motors, condensers, evaporators, switches, gauges, and copper piping used for steam, gas, refrigerant, compressed air, oil, and chilled water systems.
- Connecting pipes and equipment through bolting, soldering, riveting, welding, and brazing, while ensuring proper alignment and accurate fitting.
- Charging systems with gas or fluids to test for leaks and ensure system integrity.
- Conducting operational testing of refrigeration systems, inspecting mechanisms, and making necessary adjustments.
- Removing testing gases and fluids using vacuum pumps and recharging systems with refrigerant.
- Inspecting and servicing refrigeration systems, diagnosing faults, and repairing or replacing defective components.
- Adjusting system controls and mechanical components and reassembling systems after maintenance or repairs.
- Maintaining records of system malfunctions, including the causes identified and corrective actions taken.
Requirements:
- AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV or
- At least three years of relevant experience
Pay: $79,499.00 per year
