What you’ll be doing
Zeal Futures’ independent secondary school currently supports students in Years 9 and 10, providing an engaging, inclusive and supportive learning environment. The school will expand to include Years 11 and 12, with this role commencing in January 2027. This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to be part of the continued growth of our school and make a genuine difference in the day-to-day learning, engagement and wellbeing of young people through hands-on classroom support.
As our Student Wellbeing Support Officer, you will work closely with our students, teachers and wellbeing staff to provide hands-on support that enhances student engagement and success. You will also be responsible for:
- Facilitate student enrolment, conduct interviews, and assist students and families to complete enrolment paperwork.
- Liaise with students, carers/parents/guardians and other stakeholders to resolve student issues
- Assist in the formulation of Individual Learning Plans with teaching staff and resourcing staff with strategies that appropriately combat cognitive, sensory and/or social/ emotional challenges
- Identify, monitor, and develop intervention strategies, in consultation with all stakeholders

What you’ll bring to the table
- Certificate IV, Diploma, Bachelor in Youth Work, Social Work or Community Services (or equivalent).
- Experience working with children and/or young people.
- Experience working within a school environment, with group facilitation experience highly regarded
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with different stakeholders to support the pastoral care of students
- Ability to assist students in developing knowledge, understanding, and skills to support learning, positive behaviour, and constructive social relationships
- Capacity to work closely with classroom teachers and school leaders to provide targeted social, emotional and life skill development for at-risk students
