The Project
Genus has been engaged by Rio Tinto to deliver critical electrical infrastructure as part of the Hope Downs 1 operations Project to assist in sustaining long term output and strengthening productivity of the Hope Downs 1 hub.
The Role
Genus are currently looking for an experienced QA Electrician to join their Rio Tinto team. This is a role requiring attention to detail, record keeping and data entry to ensure works are captured in the client CCMS quality assurance system and ITR.
- Conduct QA inspections and in-process checks across electrical systems
- Undertake, quality assessments and recording data on-site
- Identify non-conformance to installation standard require to be met.
- Complete Inspection Test Records (ITRs) using the CCMS
- Support and enforce commissioning procedures to ensure timely handover
- Ensure all work aligns with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
Skills and Experience- WA Electrical Licence (Essential)
- Confident working in fast-paced FIFO environments
- Strong understanding of QA/QC systems, documentation, and compliance
- Valid Driver’s License – “C” Class (Minimum)
- OH&S Construction Safety Induction White Card
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work to required deadlines.
- Good judgement and decision making.
- High level communication including active listening skills.
