As a Cyber Security Specialist at Icon Group, you’ll take hands-on ownership of a broad portfolio of security capabilities, from vulnerability and exposure management to data loss prevention and cloud security, while contributing to security operations, incident response, and our ongoing Cyber Resilience Program.[KR1]
What you’ll be doing
- Implement, operationalise, and continuously mature a defined portfolio of security capabilities including vulnerability management, exposure management, attack surface management, data loss prevention, CASB, and data security posture management
- Design, implement, and continuously improve security solutions across endpoint, email, cloud, and network channels
- Coordinate and contribute to security incident response activities, including post-incident reporting and rotational on-call coverage for critical (P1) incidents
- Partner with Icon’s managed Security Operations Centre to coordinate continuous improvement of detection, triage, and response capabilities
- Evaluate emerging security products and run proof-of-concepts to inform Icon’s security technology roadmap[KR2]
- Contribute to a strong cyber security culture by providing pragmatic guidance, briefings, and recommendations to leaders and employees across the organisation
What you’ll bring
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in information security or a related IT role, with hands-on technical delivery across security engineering or operations
- Hands-on experience deploying and managing security solutions in two or more of: vulnerability management, exposure management, attack surface management, DLP, CASB, or data security posture management
- Practical understanding of risk management, security standards, and data protection obligations relevant to multi-jurisdictional operations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical risk into clear, actionable guidance for both technical and business audiences
- Relevant certifications desirable (e.g. SSCP, BTL1, CEH, or relevant vendor certifications); tertiary qualification in IT or related field advantageous
