Greyling Group is a small, fully insured property maintenance business based in Scarborough. We look after homes across Perth's northern suburbs and the wider metropolitan area - appliance repairs, gutter and roof cleaning, solar panel cleaning, pressure washing and general property maintenance. Our customers are mostly homeowners, along with a growing number of property managers.
We are looking for one reliable casual technician to work alongside the owner.
THE WORK
- Appliance repairs in customers' homes - washing machines, dishwashers, dryers, and general diagnosis and repair
- Gutter cleaning, roof cleaning and exterior property care
- Pressure washing - driveways, paths, paving and building washdowns
- General property maintenance and handyman tasks
- Travelling between jobs across Perth, working mainly around Scarborough and the northern suburbs
HOURS - WHAT WE CAN HONESTLY PROMISE
This is a casual position starting at approximately 1 to 2 days per week. We want to be straight with you about that: it is not full-time work and we are not going to pretend otherwise. The business is growing steadily and there is genuine scope for the days to increase over time, but that will depend on how the workload develops. We would rather set a realistic expectation now than oversell it and let you down later. If you are looking for steady casual work that fits alongside other commitments, with the option of more as we grow, this could suit you well.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Reliable - you turn up when you say you will. This matters more to us than anything else on this list.
- Practical, hands-on skills and a genuine problem-solving approach
- Experience in property maintenance and/or appliance repair
- Comfortable working in customers' homes, respectfully and tidily
- Good customer service skills - you will often be the only person the customer meets
- Able to work independently and manage your own day
- A valid Australian driver's licence
- Your own reliable vehicle suitable for travelling between jobs (preferred)
- Able to tell us the days you are normally available
- Interested in ongoing casual work that may increase over time
HIGHLY DESIRABLE
- Experience repairing washing machines, dishwashers and dryers
- Gutter cleaning, exterior cleaning or general property-care experience
PLEASE NOTE
This role does not involve licensed electrical work. Greyling Group does not carry out electrical contracting, and any work requiring a licensed electrician is referred on. No electrical licence is required or expected for this position.
PAY
$40 to $55 per hour including casual loading, depending on experience and skills.
