About Iris & Light
Iris & Light is a unique photography experience based at Westfield Miranda. We create high-resolution fine-art photography of our customers’ irises — transforming the coloured part of the eye into personalised artwork for individuals, couples and families.
We’re a small, creative and growing business, and we’re looking for an outgoing Retail Sales & Photography Assistant to join our Miranda team.
This isn’t a traditional stand-behind-the-counter retail role.
Every customer who visits us gets a personal, guided experience — from discovering their iris for the first time through to choosing their finished artwork. You’ll be at the centre of that experience.
The Role
You’ll be trained across the entire Iris & Light customer experience, including:
- Welcoming and engaging customers in-store
- Explaining the Iris & Light experience and our artwork
- Operating our specialised macro photography equipment
- Guiding customers through their photography session
- Using our photography, editing and retail software
- Helping customers select their preferred artwork and products
- Processing sales and payments
- Managing general day-to-day studio operations
- Maintaining a welcoming, professional and beautifully presented space
No experience with our specialised photography equipment is required — full training is provided.
Who We’re Looking For
Personality and attitude matter more to us than having the perfect CV.
You’ll ideally be someone who:
- Is naturally sociable and genuinely enjoys talking to people
- Can confidently approach and engage customers
- Is warm, energetic and able to make people feel comfortable quickly
- Is reliable and comfortable working independently in a small studio
- Is confident using computers and willing to learn new software
- Has a strong willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Takes pride in delivering an excellent customer experience
- Is comfortable with the sales side of the role and motivated by achieving targets
- Lives locally or can reliably commute to Westfield Miranda
- Is 18+
Photography, art, design or creative experience is a big plus, but it isn’t essential. We’re happy to train the right person.

Location
Westfield Miranda, NSW
Casual / part-time position with flexibility across shopping centre trading hours. Weekend availability will be important.
