About the roles
As a Moxy or Roller Operator, you’ll work as part of the project’s earthworks team, operating heavy mobile plant across significant bulk earthworks and civil construction activities.
Working closely with Supervisors and other Operators, you’ll be responsible for safely and productively operating your nominated equipment while contributing to daily production and project requirements.
For our Moxy Operators, you’ll support bulk material movement across active earthworks areas, working safely around loading equipment and other heavy mobile plant.
For our Roller Operators, you’ll support earthworks placement and compaction activities, working closely with the broader earthworks team to achieve project requirements.
What you’ll be doing
- Operate Moxy or Roller equipment safely and efficiently across bulk earthworks activities
- Support large-scale material movement, placement and compaction operations
- Complete daily pre-start inspections and equipment checks
- Identify and report plant defects and maintenance requirements
- Follow Supervisor directions and project traffic management requirements
- Maintain safe operating distances and awareness around other heavy mobile plant
- Work productively while maintaining project safety and quality requirements
- Work collaboratively with Supervisors, Operators and other project personnel
- Participate in pre-starts, toolbox meetings and project safety activities
- Take care of allocated equipment and operate plant within manufacturer and project requirements
Your skills and experience
- Demonstrated experience operating Moxy/Articulated Dump Trucks or Rollers on civil construction, mining or resources projects
- Previous experience working within bulk earthworks environments
- Proven competency operating the equipment relevant to the position you are applying for
- Nationally recognised competencies/tickets for the equipment you operate
- Strong understanding of safe mobile plant operation and working around heavy equipment
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and care of equipment
- Ability to follow operating instructions and work effectively within a high-production construction environment
- Ability to work effectively as part of a large earthworks team
- Previous Pilbara and FIFO experience will be highly regarded
- Construction White Card
- Valid driver’s licence
- Ability to work a 2:1 FIFO roster ex Perth
