Job Summary:
Our company is seeking a skilled and experienced Joinery and Cabinet Making Tradesman to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality cabinetry and joinery products, as well as installing them in various residential and commercial settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and install a variety of cabinets, wardrobes, and other joinery products according to specifications and drawings
- Select appropriate materials and hardware for each project
- Operate woodworking machinery and tools to fabricate and shape wood components
- Prepare and assemble components using various techniques, including gluing, nailing, and doweling
- Install finished products on-site, ensuring they are level, secure, and functioning properly
- Interpret drawings and blueprints to ensure accuracy and quality control
- Communicate with clients and other tradespeople as necessary to ensure project success
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times
Requirements:
- Proven onsite and factory experience as a Joinery and Cabinet Making Tradesman
- Excellent knowledge of woodworking machinery and tools
- Familiarity with different wood types and their properties
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Qualifications:
- Trade qualification in Joinery and Cabinet Making or equivalent
